High Resolution Polarimetric Scatterometer

This series of low-power (10 mW) radar scatterometers can be configured to operate at any frequency band between 1 and 18 GHz with up to 500 MHz bandwidth, providing range resolution as fine as 0.3 m. The system is configured to measure the instantaneous scattering matrix of distributed targets such as sea ice or vegetation. Polarimetric processing software is included to perform polarimetric calibration and to compute complex scattering matrices and the average Mueller matrix.

Dual polarized antenna with 30 dB cross-polarization isolation.
Continuously variable range resolution, 0.3 m or greater.
Internal calibration loop.
Temperature stabilized enclosure Client GUI for radar control, real-time display of instantaneous range profiles, calibrated NRCS display.
Client-server software for remote operation with wireless option.
